KK has a voice that makes an immediate impression, she has been likened to greats of the golden folk era, such as Joni MItchell, Janis Ian, and James Taylor. A broad expression, ranging from heartwarming folk to soul-pouring avant garde.
The album title suggests something of a ritualistic or even beastly content, although that might be misleading the listener somewhat. A record of events, this album is made up of songs written in KK’s early teen years, as well as some freshly written poetic songs about things learned and re-learned in adulthood. It offers a healthy amount of mellow, lyrical, heart wrenching songs, but the uplifting happy world music beats are never far away.

At the bottom of my heart lives a gratitude that wishes to be heard: Thank you, my dear husband for working so lovingly with me on these songs. Thank you Asami, Nicole, Anders and Phil for your grace and talent, you have made this journey a thrilling one. Thank you Lee for your sounds and your smiles. My sister, my mother, my aunt Kari and my Grandma Billie for teaching me how to combine perseverance with love. My father for singing in the house while I was growing up. My family-in-law for their support and constant belief in me. My dog, Gwennie, for walking me. You for letting me into your head/heart.
